Emergency Relief Services
Emergency Relief Services are based on a long term case management structure. A case manager helps identify the client's need, and by addressing this need, helps bring the client to self-sufficiency. Services include referral, budgeting tips, employment training and spiritual counseling. Financial assistance is available based on the client's greatest need, which could include rent, food, utilities, prescription drugs, furniture, crisis counseling, and miscellaneous assistance.

Katrina Aid Today
Katrina Aid Today offers case management services to anyone affected by Hurricane Katrina, especially the elderly, disabled, or vulnerable. Case managers help clients define their recovery goals. Once immediate needs are met, case managers and their clients plan the next steps: enrolling children in schools, conducting job searches, locating appropriate healthcare services, and rebuilding homes. These long-term services are available to residents of eight civil parishes in the Metropolitan area: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John, St. Tammany, and Washington.

Louisiana Family Recovery Corps
Louisiana Family Recovery Corps provides direct services to displaced families, serving each family for an average of four months. Families who qualify are assigned a Family Liaison who will help them develop their own personal recovery plan. Family Liaisons provide holistic case management services and.can also assist their families with emergency assistance, living accommodations, transportation, childcare, job skills training and development, out-patient substance abuse treatment, and mental health services.

Louisiana Spirit
Louisiana Spirit reaches out to communities affected by Katrina with referrals, educational services, and access to counseling services. Special outreach teams work with children, first responders and priority populations to address their critical needs. This program touches communities in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard parishes, as well as throughout the North Shore.

Operation Helping Hands
Operation Helping Hands utilizes local and national volunteers to gut and clean homes of elderly, disabled, or uninsured victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Project Fleur-de-lis
Project Fleur-de-lis is a cooperative effort among Catholic schools, social services and health care providers to reach out to students, parents, and teachers in Catholic schools. The program helps address emotional and behavioral issues related to Hurricane Katrina. Services include counseling, education, and prevention.
