Foster Grandparents Foster Grandparents is a program that benefits low-income seniors and special needs children. The Foster Grandparents provide their life experience, wisdom, love, and attention to encourage and mentor children and troubled teens in a variety of settings such as schools, Head Start and day care centers, shelters, and rehabilitation facilities. Affiliated Corporation: PACE The Shirley Landry Benson PACE Center opened in September 2007. The PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) mission is to enhance the quality of life and autonomy for frail older adults while maximizing their dignity and respect. The PACE organization enables these frail older adults to live in their homes and in the community as long as medically and socially feasible, as they preserve and support the older adult’s family unit.
