CATHOLIC CHARITIES TOY DISTRIBUTION

Needy children from Kenner and all over the New Orleans area will get an early visit from Santa Claus Friday when he makes a special trip to St. Jerome Community Center to hand out 1000 donated toys.

    WHO: Santa Claus, also known as Quin Ortega, director of St. Jerome
                  Community Center

    WHAT: Santa will distribute 1000 toys collected by Catholic Charities
                  and students at Chapelle High School

    WHEN: Friday, December 22, 2006
                  11 am to 3 pm

    WHERE: St. Jerome Community Center
                     2400 Bradley St.
                     Kenner, LA

    WHY:  Every kid should get toys at Christmas

As our children and families prepare to celebrate their second post-Katrina Christmas, many find themselves still struggling to provide the basics. Catholic Charities hopes to provide a Merry Christmas to all of our families and children as we continue the recovery.
