CAFÉ HOPE
Job Skills Trainer Ability to supervise dining room area and assist the Culinary Director in all programs administered by the director. This requires a comprehensive knowledge of food service, cashiering and sanitation of food preparation areas. The teaching of proper service, customer interaction and customer satisfaction is necessary. Three to five years working with youth, knowledge of ServSafe, and a Bachelor’s degree.
CRESCENT HOUSE
Medical Advocate (Part-time Position) Individual should be able to meet sexual assault survivors at hospitals. Position requires individuals to be on-call 24-hours a day. Provide support and information as needed by the survivor and any significant others present throughout the emergency room visit. Bachelor’s degree in the human services field required. Experience in the field of sexual assault services, domestic violence, or other crisis advocacy is desired.
HISPANIC APOSTOLATE COMMUNITY SERVICES
Tutor (Temporary position) Needed to supervise and assist elementary, middle, and high school students with homework, projects, and other activities as needed. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics preferred.

Administrative Assistant This position requires the ability to assist the administrative person in a variety of situations. It requires a person with proven public relations skills, communications skills, initiative, good judgment, decision making and the ability to respond on demand to varied situations. It requires an action oriented person with a high level of interest in all facets of the agency, organizational skill and proven ability to handle detail, organize facts, put together projects, action plans, agendas, etc. High School Diploma/GED, advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word. Must be able to communicate fluently in English and Spanish
Immigration Clerk (Temporary position) Requires necessary professional knowledge and organizational skills to manage the everyday operation of the office. It requires the ability to effectively communicate with the supervisor, all levels of personnel, other agencies, and the public. This position requires the ability to prepare required records, reports and projects accurately and in a timely manner. Employee must be able to communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
Receptionist Requires answering a multi-line switchboard quickly and direct calls to their destination without delay, greeting customers, answering questions and announcing calls. The key to the role is always providing the primary objective while delivering the secondary objectives wherever possible in such a way that positively affects the client’s perception or call/visit experience. A high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in related field are necessary. Individual must be able to communicate, write and read fluently in English and Spanish.
JEFFERSON CARE CENTER
Sub/PRN Residential Counselor Individual needed as a substitute to perform various responsibilities with client care including, house management, documentation, and reporting. Must be able to supervise and assist with meal preparation and serving. Strong organizational and communication skills needed. Previous experience with residential programs a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
N.O. FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER
Case Manager/Outreach Responsible for coordinating client services and managing case records. This position requires knowledge of psychosocial development and the functioning of clients. Individual must have the ability to manage documentation and coordination of all services to residents. Effective communication with clients and related agencies is necessary. Bachelor’s level in Counseling or related field. Bi-lingual and experience with public speaking and community outreach.
OPERATION HELPING HANDS
Work site leader (AmeriCorps Volunteer Position) Individual will act as on-site supervisor, resource person, and problem solver. The individual will work under the direction of the Work Team Supervisors. The Work Site Leader will be trained in all areas of home rebuilding – insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry and lead volunteer groups through the rebuilding process. Three, six, nine month or one year commitment required. Volunteer must be committed to ministering to the needs of the elderly. High School graduates age 21 or older or college graduates up to age 30.
PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly)
Director of Nursing The Director of Nursing provides direct and indirect nursing care to geriatric patients. Supervises both licensed and non-licensed clinical personnel in all areas of the organization. Works under the direct and indirect supervision on the Director of Operations but is independent in the application of advanced nursing knowledge and skills. Manages complex clinical situations for which he/she is responsible. The Director of Nursing conducts initial and periodic assessments of participants, participates in the development of the IDT Plan of Care, participates in the coordination of a 24 hour care delivery, completes all documentation in the medical record as required, serves on the PACE GNO Management Team and serves as liaison between administration and direct care staff. Responsible for human resource and operational management of RNs, LP Ns, and MAs. Five years nursing experience with at least two years supervisory experience and one year caring for the frail or elderly. Able to function well in a team environment. Possess good organizational, communication and supervisory skills. Able to effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations. Bachelor degree in nursing minimum, Masters in Nursing or related Health Administration preferred. A current Louisiana Nursing license and a valid driver’s license are required.
Doctor of Pharmacy (Part-time) Responsible for all activities related to assigned area. Assures the safe and appropriate use of drugs through the provision of drug information and drug therapy monitoring. Works within the frame work of Hospital and Pharmacy policies, standard practices and state and federal regulations. Doctor of Pharmacy is a must; experience in an ASHP accredited residency program, and 3 years of experience in specialty area. SC Registered Pharmacist license and National certification required. Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology; possesses good mathematical, computer and aseptic technique skills; must have problem solving abilities; ability to work in team situations; handle urgent, stressful conditions; must possess skills necessary to treat geriatric participants.
Driver Under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, responsible for the direct transportation of physically limited passengers to and from destinations. Positions require constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies. High school diploma/GED plus one year experience transporting individual with special mobility needs. A valid Chauffer driver’s license and a good driving record are required. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and operate handicap accessible vehicles.
Home Health Aide (PRN position) This position requires personal care to participants in their home including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers, lifting, incontinence and catheter care. Position requires basic housekeeping to participants including laundry, meal preparation and general cleaning. Provide medication monitoring and cueing. Must be able to move about freely, lift and turn patient. Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity to see and treat patients, ability to hear and orally communicate. Must be able to maneuver and operate general household equipment. High school diploma/GED, current state Certified Nursing Assistant license and CPR certification.
Physical Therapist (Part-time 20 hours plus benefits) Responsible for providing physical therapy services for program participants on acute, restorative or maintenance levels in Adult Day Health Center. Evaluates and administers physical therapy treatments to participants, evaluates effectiveness of interventions and modifies services as appropriate. Collaborate on care plans with interdisciplinary team. Develops group therapeutic exercise programs in accordance with participant needs. Occasional in-home treatment may be required. Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the APTA. Licensed to practice physical therapy in Louisiana. At least one year of general physical therapy experience with geriatric population.
Registered Nurse Case Manager Responsible for assessing the needs of the patient/family and coordinates the processes that facilitate the patient’s efficient movement through the health care continuum. The Case Manager has accountability for reviewing/monitoring the appropriateness and necessity of admission, intensity of service, and continued stay. The Case Manager communicates with physicians, other case managers, nurse managers/staff nurses, social workers, outside agencies, and ancillary departments to effectively manage clinical and financial outcomes, identifying opportunities to reduce cost and length of stay while maintaining or enhancing quality and service. Two plus years of hospice or oncology/homecare nursing experience preferred. Two years medical/surgical nursing experience preferred. Well developed nursing assessment and clinical skills are necessary. Bachelor of Science in Nursing, hospice/Palliative care nursing certification preferred. Current RN license in the State of Louisiana, computer literate and knowledge of electronic medical record. CPR certified a plus.
Social Workers Needed for the direct social work case management services for PACE participants. Provides social services support to include participant screening, case management, counseling and referrals. Position requires individual therapy skills geared to geriatric patients, analytical thinking, and problem solving abilities. Work performed includes visits to private homes of PACE enrollees. Position requires some travel in and around New Orleans. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is necessary. Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work with two years experience in a health related area. Must have a GSW or LCSW license.
PADUA COMMUNITY HOMES
Direct Care Staff Knowledge of residential service programs, effective communication skills and client care. High school diploma required and one year experience working with the mental retardation or the developmentally disabled population.
Service Coordinator Manages the day to day service provision and management of the community homes. Supervisory experience is needed. Full-time, Sunday thru Saturday. 24 hours on call availability a must. One to two years experience with the MR/DD population. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field needed. Excellent written and oral skills are necessary.
