There are many fun and easy one-time projects for holidays and birthdays OR on-going drives that groups or clubs can organize to benefit the children and adults in our programs:
DRIVES
Collect these items for our clients on an on-going basis:
- Multimedia: Books, CDs, DVDs
- Athletic Equipment: Volleyballs, Footballs, etc.
- School Supplies: New Backpacks, Pencil Cases
- Craft Items: Glitter, Glue, Construction Paper
- Valentines: For shelter kids to give out at school
- Outerwear: Coats & Sweaters (only)
- Costumes: For Mardi Gras and/or Halloween
- Toiletries: For Men & Women
- Diapers & Wipes: For children & adults
- Gift Cards are always welcome!

HOLIDAY HELP
Thanksgiving & Christmas ideas:
- Food Basket: Provide canned goods and nonperishables for a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner
for a needy family. Please Include a gift card for turkey/ham. No perishables please.
- Adopt-An-Angel: Purchase a new Christmas gift for a child in one of our programs.
- Adopt-A-Family: Brighten a family’s Christmas with new clothing, gifts, household goods or food.
- Adopt-A-Program: Provide new blankets and bedding for shelter families or toys and clothing for Head Start children for Christmas.
- Stuff Stockings: Pack Christmas stockings with special gifts for our seniors (hard candy, gloves, warm hat).
- Sponsor a Shelter: Provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal for up to 30 people.
- Christmas Tree & Ornaments: Provide these Christmas classics for needy and shelter families.
- Gift Cards are always welcome!

SPECIAL PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES

- Monthly Birthday Party: Cake & ice cream for children in shelter setting.
- Candy Baskets/Bags: For Easter or Halloween.

- Gift Cards are always welcome!
We request that out-of-town donors do not ship items. Gift cards are much more cost-effective to send, and empowers our clients to shop and select gifts for their family.
As our families and individuals are rebuilding, we will accept only NEW toys, clothing, household goods.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to pick up donations or gifts. Delivery can be made either to the program or the main office at 1000 Howard Avenue. We respect the confidentiality of our clients and are unable to grant permission for you to deliver to or to meet them directly.
