ACCESS Pregnancy & Referral Centers
ACCESS Pregnancy & Referral Centers provide free, confidential testing and counseling to women facing an unplanned or troubled pregnancy, and a 24-hour crisis line. All ACCESS sites are Certified Medicaid Application Centers. Pregnancy education includes nutrition, parenting, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. We also provide free ultrasounds.

Deaf Action Center
Deaf Action Center is a community service program for people who are deaf, deaf-blind or hard of hearing. Our services include 24-hour interpreting, telephone equipment distribution and a hearing aid program.

Padua Community Homes
Padua Community Homes are residential facilities with home-like atmospheres as well as community-based services to developmentally delayed individuals and the elderly. We provide counseling, employment, recreation, and many other services.

Padua Pediatrics Residential Program
Padua Pediatrics Residential Program is a residential program for medically fragile children between the ages of birth and 25. Clients have been diagnosed with severe to profound mental retardation and are non-ambulatory. Active treatment services include 24-hour nursing and custodial care, developmental training, and consultative psychological, physical, occupational, and speech therapies. The Plaquemines Parish School System provides educational programs.

St. Vincent Maternity Clinic
St. Vincent Maternity Clinic provides affordable, private medical care, education, and counseling to low- to moderate-income women during pregnancy and delivery, and provides up to three days stay at Touro Infirmary. The clinic accepts Medicaid and is a Medicaid application center.

Ciara Community Services is a collection of programs that provides housing options for persons with chronic mental illness.

  • Ciara House is a group home that offers housing with supportive services for adults.
     
  • Ciara Collaborative Housing offers a partnership between clients with mental illness and independent living coaches.
     
  • The Ciara Hospital Diversionary Program provides short-term placement for clients experiencing minor psychiatric or housing crises.
     
  • The Ciara Independent Living Program offers permanent housing for individuals with mental illness who are capable of living independently.
     
  • Ciara Permanent Housing Program helps people with severe and persistent mental illness to secure permanent housing.

Counseling Solutions
Counseling Solutions is our professional counseling program available to individuals, couples, families, and groups of all faiths. A board-certified psychiatrist is on staff for psychiatric medication management. A caring, compassionate staff of mental health professionals provides services related to:

  • Parent and child concerns
  • Childhood and adolescence
  • Child and family counseling
  • Life Skills
  • Grief and loss
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Anger management
  • Adult psychiatric medication management

Catholic Charities is accredited through the Council on Accreditation as having complied with nationally recognized statndards of best practice. Counseling Solutions’ highly trained staff is comprised of licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, masters’ level counselors and a board-certificed psychiatrist.

We accept payment from most major insurance companies and Employee Assistance Programs. Clients without insurance will be charged on a reasonable rate based on a sliding scale.

Voyage House
Voyage House is a residential facility for women 39+ years of age who experience substance abuse and/or mental health issues. We provide housing, clinical services, and a full array of case management and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) skills development services to women who qualify. The program also offers independent permanent housing to eligible women.
