Gifts of Prayer
The gift of prayer is always welcome. We thank you for remembering the poor and vulnerable, and all who struggle during this challenging time of recovery and rebuilding. We are grateful for your solidarity in prayer with our city and region.
Reflection by the Sisters of Mercy on June 1st, the start of hurricane season
For all whom the beginning of this season may bring anxiety and fear , we pray:
God of all creation,
hear our humble prayers for protection of all
those who live in coastal areas.
We ask you to keep them safe from all dangers
and to calm all storms of life that threaten them,
especially the attack of whirlwinds and tornados,
the calamity and destruction of hurricanes,
and the devastation of floods and tidal waves.
May they be secure in your loving protection and
find you in their experiences. Amen
