Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans has 40 trained crisis counselors working in the two Red Cross Centers, two Catholic Charities Emergency service centers and going door to door in  devastated neighborhoods to provide counseling to those impacted by the early morning tornado. Crisis counselors are available at the following locations:

 

1.    Behrman Recreation Center (Red Cross Shelter)

2.    Stella Worley School (Red Cross Shelter)

3.    Hope Haven/Chinchuba Emergency Service Center*

       1131 Barataria Blvd, Marrero, LA

4.    St. Gabriel Emergency Service Center*

       4700 Pineda St. (Gentilly), New Orleans, LA

 

*Please note that you must visit a Red Cross Shelter before seeking assistance from Hope Haven/Chinchuba or St. Gabriel.

In addition, crisis counselors are going door to door in Pontchartrain Park, Gentilly and Carrollton.
