Hope Haven Center Staff Provides Treatment Services in a Caring and Supportive
Way
Children and adolescents today often are severly
distressed. The pace of contemporary life is accelerated beyond measure. Social change
abounds. Family life is assaulted on all fronts, by various stressors - changing parental
roles, substance abuse, economic upheavals, and divorce. In distressed families, children
and adolescents often develop dysfunctional ways of coping with problems. Poor school
performance, rebellious acts, disrespect for authority, and frustrations emerge in their
lives. Children and adolescents now require "safe havens." Recovery from family
stress and alienation requires that the resident learn new ways of handling feelings and
dealing with life choices in a safe, caring environment.
The Hope Haven Center offers help during the recovery process.
