Catholic Charities Hosts Teen & Adult Employment Workshops*

Throughout spring and early summer, Catholic Charities’ newly minted Community Employment Services program will offer several workshops and a job fair for those looking for work.
On Saturday, April 21, all youths ages 16-21 are invited to learn about applying for jobs, and the team from Community Employment Services will cover topics like job discipline, interviewing techniques, application preparation, work culture and job referrals. Attendees are encouraged to dress for success, as potential employers will also be at the fair.
For adults, Community Employment Services is planning nine workshops that will help job seekers learn how to ace an interview and polish their resumes. “These workshops will give our clients the skills they need to go out there and really get what they want in terms of employment,” Anthony Sharp, Employment Specialist, said. “They’ll have an edge that will make the difference between getting a job and not getting one.”
